Princess Doe Memorial Service Information

Thank you to all of those who attended the 25th anniversary memorial
service on Sunday, July 15th at the Cedar Ridge Cemetery. About
90-100 people attended the service on a very hot and humid summer
afternoon in Blairstown. A few people had even attended the original
funeral service at the same spot in 1983. (Scroll down for pictures)

Special Thanks for the following people and organizations who made the
event such a success:

Pastor David Harvey from the Blairstown Presbyterian Church. Pastor
Harvey presided over the service, performed various readings and presented
an excellent homily.

Retired Blairstown Police Lieutenant
Eric A. Kranz, who truly spoke from the
heart and shared his experience and feelings regarding the Princess Doe
case.

Warren County Prosecutor
Thomas Ferguson and Lieutenant Detective
Stephen Speirs
, who both spoke about the investigation and expressed their
belief that the case can be solved and is still be pursued.

David Shotwell and The Cedar Ridge Cemetery Association for allowing the
memorial service to take place at the grave of Princess Doe.

The Blairstown Masonic Lodge for the use of their building for refreshments
(and air conditioning!) after the service.

Joe Schmitt who provided the food preparation and coordination. Joe also
hung many of the posters locally and provided local research.

All of the various media outlets that provided coverage of the case as well as
the memorial service itself. The list includes, The Express-Times, The Star
Ledger, North Warren News, The New York Times, The New Jersey Herald,
The Warren County Reporter and the Pocono Record.

If you did not receive a memorial service program or prayer card and you
would like one please e-mail your USPS mailing address to:
memorial@princessdoe.org and they will be sent as soon as possible.
